The truth of the matter is, finding your next opportunity will require a shift in your mindset and the ability to tell your story well enough to as many people as possible. The only way to do this effectively is through the Internet. This is why having a strong online presence is so crucial!?

Still not convinced? No worries, here are a few more benefits to look at:

You Become More Visible to Employers or Potential Clients

With a solid online presence, opportunities can find you. By having a LinkedIn profile or a personal website that showcases your skills and expertise, you increase your visibility and make yourself searchable. I know firsthand how this really plays out.

6 years ago, I had my first child, and although it was a special experience for me, it also had Its challenges. The biggest lesson was that I did not have the flexibility to see him grow due to my work schedule. The other part was paying daycares half of my salary. Instead of complaining about it and how life isn’t fair, I changed the way I played the game. I read many posts about the power of the internet for your career and knew a change was near. So I took action. I heard about a platform called “Linkedin” and decided to try it.

After taking the information I learned and applying it to my profile, I began becoming searchable within the Linkedin platform. This action landed me my first 6 figure position. The best thing about this is I didn’t even go and apply for the position. Because I had made myself searchable on the internet, the recruiter could find me and make an offer instead. Since then, I no longer have to constantly search for new opportunities, instead, they find me. This is what I will teach you, throughout this series.

It Shows That You’re Tech-Savvy đź‘¨â€Ťđź’»

Being tech-savvy is a must-have skill for many jobs in today’s digital world. A strong online presence demonstrates that you are comfortable using technology and can quickly adapt to new tools and platforms. This can be a significant selling point for potential employers looking for candidates with strong digital skills.

The other part is companies are constantly evolving to ensure they stay ahead of the game. You do not have to know a tool as an expert, you do need to know how to read. The good thing about the internet is that if you are in need of an answer it can give you one. But to do that, you’ll have to know how to use it.

Having the ability to take information and adapt to it will be a crucial skill to have as we go into this new generation of work.

It Allows You to Showcase Your Skills and Experience

One of the biggest benefits of having a strong online presence is the ability to showcase your skills and experience in a way that’s easily accessible to everyone. Highlighting your accomplishments and strengths online can make a strong impression on potential employers.

Now I will say that it will require some skill to craft what you know how to do, but again JTML8ter is here to help you with that.

It Helps You Build Your Professional Network đź—Ł

A strong online presence also allows you to build your professional network more rapidly. You can connect with other professionals in your field through LinkedIn connections, online forums, or social media platforms like Twitter and Instagram.

By doing so, you can expand your network, stay current on trends, learn about new opportunities, and build relationships that could lead to future job opportunities. Honestly, this is one thing people sleep on. Once you understand that everything has a purpose, you will start being intentional about how you feed your platforms.

Some of the best opportunities come from inner circles. It’s okay if none of your friends IRL ( in real life) don’t find what you do interesting. Someone else will. This is why joining online communities will help you build confidence and be around fellow pioneers as yourself seeking to make a change in their life.

It Demonstrates Your Brand

Your personal brand is essentially your reputation and how you want to be perceived by others. By curating a strong online presence, you can help shape what that looks like. This includes how you present yourself on your website or social media profiles, the type of content you create, and how you interact with others online.

Believe it or not everyone has a brand, what you do with it is your business. But we are here to make sure you use it to your advantage. You constantly see all these celebrities signing sponsor deals or finding new projects to increase their network; why can’t regular people do the same?!
